THE AGGRAVATION OF KANYE WEST  by Chris Carter

It's no secret, Kanye West HATES losing. His temper tantrums and hissy fits are almost a part of his appeal. A man who loves what he does so much that he will stomp and fuss like a child when his work is not recognized. Mr. West even acknowledged this tendancy in his song: "Diamonds From Sierra Leone" with the lines:

"What more could you ask for?
The International Asshole!
Who complains about when he is old,
And throw a tantrum like he is 3 years old,
You got to love it though,
Somebody still speaks from his soul."

Well, Kanye let his soul SPEAK backstage at the 2007 VMAs after his denile of a chance to perform as the shows opener was followed by losing all 5 of his nominations to other artists. I will not go into the detail of what he said, since the video is right here, but I do ask you to ponder: Do you think its possible that West is right? Maybe MTV IS playing games with him. They knew that if they shut him out on all of his awards, he would throw his usual tantrum. Hey, a Kanye West tantrum could make a show that has been losing ratings every year seem more interesting... Just like putting an emotionally and mentally unstable Britney Spears on as headliner....
Just food for thought....

Now, you be the judge, was this justified?

After an outburst like this, you would expect a PR tour to save face. Or some kind of public apology, not from Mr. West. He is sticking to his guns. He is a man of principle, a man that doesn't bite his tongue. Here he is explaining why he gets so passionate about awards:
